Surf Coast FC hold Ladies Day
The fundraiser was held at the Grant Pavilion, overlooking the Banyul Warri Reserve.
SURF Coast Football Club held their annual Ladies Day fundraising event at Grant Pavilion in Banyul Warri Reserve on Saturday.
Melbourne Victory defender Alexandra Gummer guest spoke at the event.
Gummer was part of the Melbourne Victory team that won last season’s W-League.
She spoke about the differences between women’s football in England and Australia, and also about what she felt the game needed to do to get more women involved.
Surf Coast Football Club women’s side currently sit atop of their division. The club also has all female under 14 and under 12 sides.
The event also included prizes and goodie-bags that were supplied by the club’s sponsors.
