WINNERS have been chosen for the Hayden Real Estate ‘Design our sold sticker competition’ — and things are looking bright for the young artists Jala and Bridie who came out on top.

For the second year running, Torquay Hayden Real Estate ran a children’s colouring-in competition to design and colour a ‘sold’ sticker for houses sold on the Surf Coast.

The two winning designs by local Surf Coast girls Jala and Bridie have now been printed onto sold stickers and are ready to be placed across Surf Coast homes sold in the coming weeks and months.

Torquay Hayden Real Estate Sales Manager Ben Smith said the response to the competition was impressive, and overwhelming, with over 100+ designs entered.

“This year’s competition was bigger and better than last year’s,” Mr Smith said.

“The designs submitted were amazing and there are certainly some young budding artists across the Surf Coast.

“The two lucky kids that won were over the moon, they got some extra arts and crafts stuff to help them over the way.”

Smith said Jala and Bridie were each very grateful to receive the first printed sicker of their design along with more art supplies to help them continue with their artistic endeavours.

This was the second year Hayden Real Estate hosted the competition and Mr Smith said the team is already looking forward to running next year’s competition.

“We did it last year and got really great response from children and parents; it’s something different and gives the kids something to do over the holidays as well.

“From our point of view… we just wanted to open it up as a bit of fun and something different for local kids and we’ll continue to do that.

“It’s been a success and we’re already looking forward to next year, along with our Surf Coast Pet Calendar too.

“We put the community’s pet photos together in a calendar, so start taking photos of your pets now.”
