Timberset home in Jan Juc open for viewing

December 5, 2018 BY

Did you know… processing of timber is minimal (low embodied energy), especially when compared to other building products, such as concrete and bricks?

TIMBERSET is inviting residents to view their latest home build in Jan Juc this month.

Under a revamp by a father and son duo and their combined love of timber and its ecofriendly nature, the company has moved in an exciting new direction.

A Housing Industry Association (HIA) accredited builder of sustainable homes, cabins and buildings, Timberset is passionate about building homes of solid timber sourced from responsibly managed forests.

While it’s clear many landowners choose to build with energy-dependent man-made materials such as brick and cement, Timberset is determined to inspire people to hero timber for its environmentally friendly appeal as well as its iconic aesthetic.

Aware of the amount of young people choosing to build new homes in Australia, Timberset is concerned many of these homes are too large and expensive to run, built on small blocks that lack vegetation and airflow and are made with heat absorbing materials.

Eager to welcome more people to the “timber revolution”, Timberset believes timber is the greenest approach to home building.

To understand the benefits of living in a solid timber home, Timberset is cordially inviting locals to view their Jan Juc home before the keys are handed over to its clients in time for the Christmas Day roast. The open houses are to be held on Saturday December 8 and 15, 9am-2pm at 10 Stuart Ave, Jan Juc. Visit timberset.com.au.
