Toast the winter with Commerce Torquay

COMMERCE Torquay is heading to Torquay Wine Store for its next winter after 5 event, to be held on this.

The “Winter Warmer Business Connect” event follows last month’s “Winter Solstice Connect” at Great Ocean Road Gin and will see attendees enjoy appetisers, good wine and networking with great people.

Opening in December 2021, Torquay Wine Store is centrally located in Gilbert Street and offers a range of about 400 carefully selected wines as well as more than 80 beers, ciders and seltzers for patrons to drink in the relaxed wine bar, or to stock up to take home.

There is also beer on tap and a comprehensive cocktail list.

Co-owner Mick Dowling’s expansive knowledge comes from two decades of experience in the industry, including selling wines across every segment of the market – from $10 a bottle to more than $30,000.

He said the idea behind the Torquay Wine Store was about creating a relaxed, unpretentious environment where people could get great wines and beers with staff who are passionate and educated on hand to help.

Thursday’s event will be hosted by Coulter Legal, a law firm with offices in the Surf Coast, Geelong, the Bellarine Peninsula, Melbourne and the Limestone Coast in South Australia

The Commerce Torquay “Winter Warmer Business Connect” will be held at Torquay Wine Store, 19A Gilbert Street, Torquay, on Thursday, July 27 from 5.30-8pm.

Entry is free for Commerce Torquay members and $20 for non-members.
