Torquay Tornadoes whipping up a storm

The Division 1 Women will be the last of the club’s four grand finalists to take to the pitch on Saturday.

TORQUAY Tornadoes Hockey Club will be featuring in four Grand Finals this weekend in Hockey Geelong.

The Division 1 Women confirmed a Grand Final spot with a 3-1 win over the Saints on Saturday. The goals were scored by Danica Williams, Em Moore and Amy Wombwell.

It’s going to be a big day for the Tornadoes this Saturday with the Under 14 and 17, Division 1 Men and Women all attempting to win flags.

It will be the third Grand Final in a row for the Under 17 group, the Division 1 Men are the reigning premiers, the Women will be in their fourth Grand Final in a row and the Under 14s are looking forward to their first shot at winning a flag.

The Tornadoes’ game times at the Hockey Geelong Centre are as follows:

  • Saturday September 15
  • Under 14 v Geelong 9.45am
  • Under 17 v Newtown 11am
  • Division 1 Men v Saints Black 3.30pm
  • Division 1 Women v Geelong 5pm
