Winter Warmers Breakfast returns

April 19, 2024 BY

Cottage by the Sea’s annual Winter Warmers Breakfast returns on May 1 at the GMHBA Stadium.

Exercise physiologist, nutritionist and neuroscientist Paul Taylor will be welcomed back to the event.

Mr Taylor will deliver an engaging presentation on unpacking resilience and overcoming adversity, as well as offering tools on how to navigate life with grace and applying stoic wisdom.

His presentation at last year’s event focused on dealing with the ‘winter blues’. He will add to that this year with practical wellbeing tips.

Cottage by the Sea chief executive Adam Wake said Mr Taylor is one of the best speakers he has seen.

“He helps others see simple ways to cement small changes to your daily routine that will deliver a real benefit to you and your team.”

“Paul’s insights will empower you with tools that not only enhance your wellbeing, but also enable you to help others.

“Supporting each other through life’s challenges – whether it be your loved ones, colleagues or children at the cottage – is something we all benefit from.”

Supporters of last year’s event will share their stories on their experience and how they raised funds for the charity.

The informative event is the launch of the charity’s end of financial year fundraiser.

“As a not-for-profit independent children’s charity that receives no government funding for our life-changing programs, we are reliant on the community’s support for our events and fundraising programs to offer more children more inspiration, fun and opportunity,” Mr Wake said.

Cottage ambassador Ian Cover will host the Winter Warmers Breakfast.

Cottage patron Rebecca Maddern and Cottage ambassador Warren Davies, “The Unbreakable Farmer”, will also be in attendance alongside other Cottage supporters.

The breakfast will run from 7am until 9am in the Captain’s rooms at GMHBA Stadium.
