Beers to keep flowing at 145-year-old classic Queenscliff hotel up for sale

The freehold of this 145-year-old hotel and the home of the Queenscliff Brewhouse is now on the market through Colliers.

Colliers has been appointed as exclusive selling agents of the freehold sale of Queenscliff Brewhouse, formerly the Esplanade Hotel at 2 Gellibrand Street, Queenscliff.

The listing of this 145-year-old classic Queenscliff hotel comes after Colliers’ successful sale of another historic property: the 19th century former woollen mill and the home of Pegasus Antiques in Newtown.

Colliers exclusive agents Andrew Lewis, Ned Tansey and James Lawson are bringing the hotel to market in one of Australia’s premier coastal locations.

Queenscliff Brewhouse is situated on a significant corner landholding in the popular coastal town of Queenscliff with frontages to both Gellibrand and Symonds streets.

Sitting at the gateway to the historic Queenscliff Pier and Harbour Precinct, the 145-year-old property offers views across Port Phillip Bay from the newly constructed balcony.

“The current tenant has committed to another five-year lease, proving a secure income stream of $380,000 annually until December 2027 with two further options of five years each.

Queenscliff is a town along the Bellarine Peninsula full of history dating back to the 1850s and is well known for its stunning harbour, picturesque beaches, heritage architecture and daily ferry service to Sorrento, located just 35min drive from Geelong.
