Last GOV lots sell well

February 7, 2019 BY

The developers of Great Ocean Views, the Cullen family, have had a long association with McCartney Real Estate.

There was much excitement at last Friday’s final auction of lots in the Great Ocean Views Estate, which saw more than 100 people attending the RACV Resort to see all nine lots sold on the evening.

Stages 3A and 4 of this prestigious estate were the last chance to buy lots from this developer, who has been a significant contributor to residential living opportunities in Torquay for 25 years.

With allotments ranging from 412sqm to 765sqm, the top allotment 19A at 647sqm sold to a local couple from Torquay for $627,000 with the average lot price being $569,333 for the nine allotments sold on the night.

McCartney director Tim Carson said that they couldn’t be happier with the results of Friday’s auction.

“Again, the results exceeded our expectations supported by strong competition from predominately local buyers as well as buyers from Geelong and Ballarat,” Mr Carson said.

“We couldn’t be happier for our vendors the Cullen family who have had a long history with the town.

“This final auction marks the end of a very successful era for the Cullen family and McCartney Real Estate.”
