Metricon celebrates dual wins at HIA state awards
Metricon has again been recognised for design excellence, taking home two prestigious honours at the Housing Industry Association’s (HIA) 2025 Victoria Housing and Kitchen & Bathroom Awards, held at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre over the weekend.

The Riva 44 with Deakin facade was named Best Display Home ($500,000–$600,000), while the HomeSolution Lawson 22 with Elk facade claimed Best Display Home (up to $350,000), a double win that celebrates Metricon’s commitment to design excellence across multiple budget and lifestyle.

“These awards recognise the dedication of our entire design and display delivery teams, who work tirelessly to deliver homes that meet the needs of modern Australian families,” Metricon national product development manager, David McKibbin, said.
“The Riva 44 and Lawson 22 showcase our passion for thoughtful design, craftsmanship and liveability at every level.

“Every detail of our homes, from the floorplan to the interiors, is shaped by how Australian families truly want to live.
“These awards are a reflection of our collaborative approach, where designers, construction, business partners and trades all play a role in turning design innovation into everyday reality.”
Located in Cloverton Estate, the Riva 44, named “Kalkallo”, is a luxurious 420sqm double-storey home featuring six bedrooms, multiple living zones and expansive indoor-outdoor entertaining spaces.

Its Deakin facade attracts attention with strong geometric lines, a carefully thought through mix of materials, and a cantilevered portico which guides you inside to an expansive voided entry.
Blending contemporary design with family functionality, the Riva 44 pairs dramatic volume and light with a warm, textural palette of terracotta, oak and silver tones. Layered materials, Formica Provincial Walnut cabinetry and timeless finishes deliver a refined yet inviting atmosphere.
The Lawson 22, located in Harpley Estate in Werribee, continues to shine as one of Metricon’s most popular family designs. Bright, fresh and effortlessly liveable, it balances open-plan living with calm oak finishes and soft pastel accents. It’s a modern home that proves quality and style are within reach for every budget.
Metricon’s dual success at the 2025 HIA awards reinforces its status as the industry leader in Australian home design, innovation and quality construction.
