Anglesea Bowling Club’s Twilight Social League returns
ANGLESEA Bowling Club’s Twilight Social League is beginning next week.
Sponsored by Great Ocean Properties, the competition is open to people of all different skill levels.
The league has provided a great entry point for people looking to take up lawn bowls, with several players from last season’s competition having since become full club members.
The competition’s aim is to be both fun and social. It is run with complimentary finger food, as well as raffles and a drinks bar.
The Jack Attack format will be used, allowing for more fast-paced games than normal bowls.
Teams consist of three to five players, with interchange allowed at the completion of each end.
Players can take to the green in flat soled-shoes or bare feet.
The season lasts for seven weeks, starting on Thursday, October 17. Play will begin at 6pm and finish about 7.30pm with presentations then following.
It will also include special nights such as fancy dress competitions.
Each team will be required to pay $30 a week regardless of the number of players they have.
Due to the replacement of one of the club’s greens, this year’s competition will be limited to 16 teams.
Team and single entries can register by emailing email@example.com.
