ANGLESEA GOLF CLUB – December 27, 2018

ON Saturday December 15, the men and women played Par. The men’s A Grade winner was Jaimie Sims with +7 from the runner-up David Calvert with +6. In B Grade, the winner was John Keeble with +5 and the runner-up was Danny Ehmer with +3. In C Grade Darryl West won with +6 and Geoff Dean was runner up with +4. Ball rundown to +2. Julie Taylor won the Women’s competition with +1. Ball rundown to -1 on a countback.

NTPs: 3rd Jaimie Sims, 6th David McGuane, 13th Gary Shugg and the 16th Jackpot Uwe Morzinek.

Sunday December 16 was a Stableford competition. The winner for the men was Paul Taylor with 41 points and John McGibbony was the runner up with 40 points. Ball rundown to 36 points on a countback. Jenny Kaye won for the women with 35 points. Ball rundown to 32 points.

NTPs: 3rd Paul Manson, 13th Jack Power, 6th Claire Brennan and the 16th Jackpot Wally Karnilowicz.

Wednesday December 19 was the first of the Medley fields for the summer holiday season.

Old habits die hard, as an all men’s field played their usual Wednesday. Playing Par, the winner of A Grade was Andrew Glide with +4, on a count back from the runner-up David Goldsmith also on +4.

In B Grade the winner was David Hitchcock with +6 on a countback from the runner-up Scott Downey on +6.

The C Grade winner was Jack Bone with +5 on a countback from the runner-up Michael Meagher with +5 also on a countback from four others. Balls down the line ran to +2. Balls down the line now start after the major prize winners.

NTPs: 3rd Ian Treloar, 6th Andrew Daffy, 13th Jeffrey Kaye and the Jackpot 16th Don Callahan.

Sunday December 30 – Stableford.
Tuesday January 1 New Year’s Day – Par
Wednesday January 2 – Stableford

Kangaroo Tours – the Golf Club is looking for more volunteer guides to give the tourists who visit from all over the world an experience of the kangaroos whose natural habitat is the golf course. Drivers are needed for rostered times of 10am-1pm and 1pm-4pm. The tours take 25 minutes and are run every day of the week. A driver’s licence is essential. If you
