THE Twilight Social League (Great Ocean Properties) got off to a flying start with 22 teams competing each Wednesday for eight rounds of community bowls. The West Coast Eagles team of Tim Benne, Dave Spencer and Mike Stevens were first round winners, with Ian Lawless of Great Ocean Properties conducting a Charity Auction.

Anglesea Pennant sides have started the season well and the Club is looking forward to a good season in three divisions of both the Saturday and Midweek competitions.

Congratulations to recent social bowls winners: Keith Hornibrook, Theo Reynjtes, David Brown, Alex McPherson, Helen Price and Max Horne.

Anglesea Community Network continues its monthly Monday Movie afternoon, with a show on Monday, October 29 at 1pm.

The Sovereign Financial Monthly Triples commenced with 14 teams of nominated triples competing for substantial prizes for seven monthly matches conducted on a Monday. Members have been reminded that entries close this month for the Men’s and Ladies Championship Singles November, and the Club is holding a Member’s Information session tomorrow (Friday, October 26) at 5.30pm.

November contains a solid schedule of bowls, including Melbourne Cup Day Social Bowls, our Ladies Open Day on the 15th sponsored by Anglesea Pharmacy and Carpet House, and Directors Charity Day on the 17th sponsored by Great Ocean Road Resort.
