Get SUP for Strapper demo day

December 5, 2017 BY

Strapper Surf will be holding their eighth annual SUP (stand-up paddle) demo day at Cosy corner in Torquay this Saturday November 18 starting at 10am.

Rich Bartle from Strapper is looking forward to seeing everyone get down to Cosy Corner and have some fun trying stand-up paddle boarding at Torquay’s longest-running SUP demo day.

“Customers don’t often get to try out a board before purchase, but the demo day will allow them to have a go at a variety of SUP boards from our suppliers,” Rich said.

“This Strapper demo day is unique. All of our major SUP brands including Naish, Starboard and Fanatic are their together with boards to test, ride and compare with customers.

“Everyone is welcome to have a go and if they like the sport, then they can visit our Strapper store to purchase their own.”

“Free SUP lessons with Shaun Ward from WSUP are available; however, places are limited for this. Customer can register at the store or phone Strapper.”

New 2018 model boards and paddles will be available from 10am to 3pm on the beach at Cosy corner along with sausage sizzle.

“It will be a very relaxed day. We just want everyone to have fun, try something new and get outdoors,” Rich said.

Strapper Surf is locally owned and operated, with 40 years history in making surfboards and providing all necessary surfing equipment needs.

To register for free SUP lessons, phone 5261 2312 or visit the Torquay store located at 106 Surf Coast Highway.

Besides Torquay, Strapper is now located in Westfield Geelong, Ocean Grove and Aireys Inlet.
