October 24, 2019 BY

The Cadel Evans Great Ocean Road Race will need many volunteers to help run its events in early 2020.

THE 2020 Cadel Evans Great Ocean Road Race is looking for people to fulfill a range of volunteer roles.

Towards Zero Race Torquay events will be held on January 30 in both men’s and women’s categories, while the Vegemite Family Ride will take place on January 31.

On February 1 both the Swisse People’s Ride and the Deakin University Elite Women’s Road Race will take place, followed by the Elite Men’s Race on February 2.

Both the Elite Women’s Race and the Elite Men’s Race are part of the UCI WorldTour.

There are a range of volunteer roles available to those looking to be part of the event. These include information assistants, whose role it will be to communicate with spectators; course marshals, who will be in charge of directing riders and spectators; and venue assistants, who will help with the set-up of sites and courses.

Volunteers will receive an event T-shirt and cap.
