A life-changing partnership

March 12, 2020 BY

OCEAN Grove-based club Surfside Waves Soccer Club (SWSC) recently partnered with LifeChanger Foundation to help foster safe and resilient communities.

With members from five to 60-years-old, SWSC has been committed to driving social inclusion and healthy lifestyle since its foundation in 1996.

LifeChanger Foundation looks to develop inspiring mentors within communities to deliver self-development workshops for teens.

The foundation is growing quickly in Melbourne, but is now looking to broaden its reach.

A-League side Western United Football Club has been working with LifeChanger Foundation to encourage more soccer clubs in the western parts of the state to partner with the foundation to help strengthen their communities.

LifeChanger Foundation chief executive officer and founder Scott Watters said he was delighted to have SWSC helping spread the program in the area.

“LifeChanger cannot wait to increase our involvement in the Bellarine Peninsula area and are so proud to be able to partner with an amazing club and help support their community in building thriving resilient teens.”

SWSC president Mike Sutton said the club’s ambition was to get as much of the community involved as possible.

“We as a club are so thrilled to bring this incredible and much sought after program to our community.

“We are in discussions with football, netball and cricket clubs to make this a border community offering as well.”

People looking to get access to the LifeChanger program can do so by getting in touch with SWSC.
