Local players score Cats VFL training invites
THE Geelong Cats have invited some of the region’s top up-and-coming players to its VFL pre-season training over this summer period.
Reigning Mathieson medallist Doyle Madigan, GFL grand final best on ground winner Brock Williamson and several Geelong Falcons graduates are among the 46 players the Cats will trial.
Geelong will also look at Ocean Grove recruit Taj Wyburd, Queenscliff signing Izaac Grant, and Lorne footballer Charlie McCartin.
Torquay youngster Patrick Hughes will also look to hand himself back into the Cats’ list.
