IF you’re looking for a place to catch every heat of the 2026 Rip Curl Pro Bells Beach, the Torquay Taphouse has it covered.

The family-owned venue on Baines Crescent will be screening the event live and free on a huge projector across the Easter period, bringing all the action off the cliffs and into a relaxed pub setting.

Settle in with a menu that covers all bases – from pizzas and loaded nachos to fried chicken, burgers and more – whether you’re dropping in for a quick bite or staying a while.

Behind the bar, there’s a strong lineup of easy-drinking options, including a new-age Aussie pale ale, a Mexican-style lager and a citrus-driven XPA, alongside cocktails, wines and ciders.

Venue owner Renee Ranger said the team is gearing up for a busy stretch.

“Throughout Easter we hope to be packed to the max with people watching the event,” Ranger said.

“Whether you don’t want to head down to the live site, or if it’s raining, come on down and see what we have to offer.

“We are close by the surf shops, family friendly, dog friendly, and have lots of beers and food to go around.”

Throughout the Rip Curl Pro event period, the Torquay Taphouse will also host live music, event nights and its Friday happy hour, with $3 beers at 3pm, $4 beers at 4pm and $5 beers at 5pm.

Add in shuffleboards and a pool table, and there’s plenty to keep you entertained between heats.

If you’re skipping the sand, the Torquay Taphouse offers a front-row seat to Bells without leaving town.
