Warm up this winter in Trentham
EMBRACE the frosty magic at Trentham’s inaugural WinterFest.
Light displays, spiced wine, roasted chestnuts, street food and live music will line High Street and Market Street, Trentham on Friday 2 August as traders gather to celebrate the new initiative.
Patrons can experience a spectacular lightshow at Hotel Trentham or immerse themselves in a winter wonderland at The Green Store.
The Green Store’s Kasi Watson said her shop would also host a book launch and signing with local author Caroline Parker.
“In the theme of a European winter event, we wanted to start something similar here in town,” she said.
“I’m so excited to see all of the shops lit up and looking wonderful.”
Trentham Food and Wine Co will host a foodie spectacular, complete with wine tasting, spiced cider and local organic baked potatoes.
The highly anticipated event is aimed at showcasing and celebrating the unique local businesses the Trentham has to offer.
Ms Watson said the idea came about following the success of Trentham’s annual Twilight Night at Christmas.
“This is the first year that we’ve run the winter event, and it’s celebrating Trentham, its wintry weather,” she said.
“Lots of people love to come to Trentham, sit by the fire and enjoy the misty, moody atmosphere. It’ll be a great night for the town.”
Other businesses, including Belle Property and Community Bank Trentham, will light up the night with special installations.
The Little Gallery also officially launch its highly anticipated Winter Show fundraising exhibition at 5.30pm, featuring 16 talented local artists from within Daylesford and the Macedon Ranges.
WinterFest Trentham will run from 4pm-8pm on Friday, 2 August 2024.
