Driver charged after fatal Tweed Heads crash
Emergency services were called to the intersection of Heffron Street and Oxley Street about 10.30pm on March 30 after reports a sedan had rolled.
A man has been charged after a fatal crash in Tweed Heads South, where a passenger died and the driver allegedly left the scene.
Emergency services were called to the intersection of Heffron Street and Oxley Street about 10.30pm on March 30 after reports a sedan had rolled.

Officers attached to Tweed Byron Police District attended and were told the vehicle had left the roadway before crashing into rocks at the intersection and overturning.
NSW Ambulance paramedics treated a front seat passenger, a man believed to be in his 30s, but he could not be revived at the scene.
He has not yet been formally identified.
Police allege the driver left the scene before emergency services arrived.

A crime scene was established and an investigation was launched under Strike Force Dartglen, with assistance from the Crash Investigation Unit, to identify and locate the driver.
Following inquiries, a 38 year old man attended Tweed Heads Police Station on April 1, where he was arrested.
He has been charged with dangerous driving occasioning death, driving under the influence occasioning death, failing to stop and assist after a crash causing death, negligent driving occasioning death, and failing to stop at a red light.
Police will allege the offences relate to the circumstances surrounding the crash and the driver’s actions after the incident.
He was refused bail and is due to appear before Bail Division Court 1 on April 2.
