Geelong will begin its AFL 2021 campaign by travelling to Adelaide Oval to take on the Crows in a Saturday twilight fixture on March 20.

The AFL released the fixture on Monday, with only the opening six rounds having times and dates.

Geelong will host Brisbane in a Friday night blockbuster in round two at GMHBA Stadium. The huge Easter Monday clash against Hawthorn will fall in round three, this being a home game for the Cats. Geelong will then take on Melbourne (April 11, MCG), North Melbourne (April 18, GMHBA Stadium) and West Coast (April 24, GMHBA Stadium).

Geelong has nine home games at GMHBA Stadium, the same number as 2019.

The Grand Final rematch against Richmond will take place in round 8.

Geelong will take on Richmond, Melbourne, St Kilda, Brisbane and North Melbourne twice.

Full details for rounds 7-23 will be released in blocks of approximately four to six rounds with at least four weeks’ notice to allow flexibility within the 2021 fixture.
