IT WILL be Moama or Bendigo East who roll to premiership glory in the Bendigo Campaspe Goldfields Premier Division grand final of weekend pennant this Sunday.

The Steamers and Magpies will clash at South Bendigo BC in Palmerston Street in Quarry Hill from 1.30pm.

Bendigo East earned another crack at grand final glory as it beat Bendigo by 15 shots in last Saturday’s preliminary final on Golden Square’s back green.

The Magpies ended the Royals run at back-to-back premierships.

Highs for East were a 10-shot win for the James McGillivray-skipped rink against Bendigo legend Ian Ross.

Marc Smith and Paul Vlamenick won by four and one shot, as Darren Burgess claimed a 16-all draw.

After a 0-2 start, Moama has won its past 13 matches which include an eight-shot victory against East in round five, and 87-81 result on the Pies’ turf in the 12th round.

Stars for the Steamers in a 30-shot win against the Royals in the second semi were the Kevin Anderson and Alex Marshall-led rinks which won by 18 and 21 shots.

Moama’s other rinks in the semi-final were skipped by Travis Kelly and Cameron Keenan.
