Have your say on Wattle Range plans

WATTLE Range Council has released its Draft Annual Business Plan and Budget for the 2026/27 financial year and is inviting community members and residents to have their say.

The Draft Plan was presented to the community at a Special Meeting of Council on Tuesday, 19 May 2025.

Also presented for consultation was the Draft Long Term Financial Plan 2027-36, which aligns with Council’s 2023-27 Strategic Management Plan.

The Annual Business Plan and Budget provides an overview of the services, programs and strategic projects Council plans to deliver to the community in the coming financial year.

The Director of Corporate Services for Wattle Range Council, Paul Duka, said Council is proposing a capital budget of $9.24 million, including $6.99 million for renewing existing assets and $2.25 million for new and upgraded assets, with roads and buildings remaining key priorities.

“We are also looking forward to delivering a number of projects within the operating budget of $40.4 million and continuing with initiatives such as the Community Infrastructure Grants program.”

“Council is seeking community feedback on the Plan, with several ways for community members to provide feedback, including written and verbal submissions,” Mr Duka said.

Submissions are due by 9am on Monday, 15 June and members of the public wishing to do so, will also have the opportunity to present their submissions in person at a Special Meeting of Council scheduled for Thursday, 18 June 2026.
