Densley takes out high gun

SOUTH East Field & Game shooters were greeted by a fine winter’s morning at Burrungule Park on Sunday, where competitors turned out in strong numbers for the June 75 Target Sporting Clays High Gun Event.

The event was proudly supported by Galpin’s Accountants, Kain Transport, O’Connor & Grainey, with Flemo’s Ammo sponsoring the High Gun prize.

The course offered a well balanced variety of targets, ranging from smooth, confidence-building presentations to more technical and demanding birds that required focus, precision, and consistency.

Across the three rounds, competitors faced a challenging mix of looping crossers, fast quartering birds, and deceptive edge-on targets that kept everyone on their toes.

The standout performance of the day came from Joseph Densley, who claimed High Gun honours with an impressive score of 63/75, finishing ahead of a strong field to take home the top prize.

Grade winners also produced excellent performances, with closely contested results across AA, A, B, and C Grades, along with strong competition in the Senior, Veteran, Lady, and Sub Junior categories.

It was also a pleasure to welcome three representatives from O’Connor & Graney—one of their valued club sponsors—Ben Jones, Hannah Attiwill, and Bryn Weaver.
