Van Rijthoven cards best score of the day
EIGHTEEN pairs of ladies took part in a 2 Person Aggregate Stableford Event last Wednesday, generously sponsored by Faye Mainwaring.
The rain waited till all players finished their rounds before commencing once again.
The course was heavy but the greens were difficult to handle, thus good scores were hard to achieve.
Jennifer Van Rijthoven had the best score of the day with 37 points.
The winners of the pairs competition were Leanne Hunt and Jess Parsons combining well to register a total of 70 points.
Leanne had a split o 16/18=34 points while Jess scored 36 points = 70 points which won them 1st placing for the day.
Only one point behind and claiming second place on a countback was the pairing of Mardi Goodes and Helen Gregory with 69 points.
Helen played to her handicap and had 36 points with Mardi supporting her with 34 points.
Unlucky to lose that countback was the pairing of Jeannette Braun and Helen Heaver also with 69 points.
Eight balls were given out to Jeannette and Helen 69 points down to Val Grubb and Di Norman 62 points.
NTP on the Par 3, 8th Hole with an absolutely wonderful shot claiming the Hole-in-One prize, plus many accolades and this went to a very happy Sharyn Emetlis.
Congratulations Sharyn as a Hole-in-One is very rare and all golfers aspire to one day actually achieving this.
