ANGLESEA Primary School’s annual fundraiser, the Village Fair, took place on Saturday with more than 3,000 people arriving to enjoy an array of family fun and entertainment.

This year the rides provided hours of entertainment, from dodgem cars to the Kite Rider, seen here.

“It was an amazing day the weather was perfect for a fair. The kids loved the dodgem cars, they were a hit. The entertainment was fantastic, Tristan J Ross, Him to Her Duo and Duncan Lester, they really rocked,” Anglesea Primary School committee member and parent Kristine Stephens said.

The food was a massive hit including homemade cakes, biscuits and slices.

“We sold out of most of our food, all the donuts went and the line to the fairy floss did not stop. The second hand toys and book stall went well and the fair’s waste was also reduced thanks to our grade six Bin Fairies.

“They were dressed up and sorted through the waste, we only ended up with 90 litres of waste, everything else was recyclable or compostable.”
