Expo to celebrate staying healthy and active

The special event at Bellarine Springs has assembled a fantastic range of experts.

BELLARINE Springs’ inaugural Healthy and Active Ageing Expo for Seniors is just around the corner.

Seniors are warmly invited to this free community event, showcasing experts and organisations that help seniors enjoy a healthy, active and connected life. The special event has assembled a fantastic range of experts who will share their vast knowledge and experience on how to maintain a healthy and active life – body, mind and soul.

The expo is honoured to have John Casey and Julie Dundon hold a FoodF1rst presentation. FoodF1rst helps older people eat smarter to live happier and healthier lives every day. Food F1rst presentations are the result of decades of fond memories and lessons learnt in kitchens around the world. John and Julie are excited to share their love for healthy food and help to make nutritious food a passion, not a chore.

Prestige InHome are available to answer questions about Consumer Directed Care (CDC) and in home care services. Help at home looks different for different people. It may mean getting help with shopping and cooking. Or it could mean getting modifications to improve your safety and movement around the house. Prestige InHome Care specialises in providing dedicated Registered Nurses and professional carers committed to helping people stay in their own home and live as happily and normally as they can.

Exhibitors will cover topics including physiotherapy, well women’s clinic, podiatry, fall risk reduction, diabetes, exercise physiology, osteopathy, massages, myotherapy, hearing, dental, life drawings, creative conversations, volunteering, exercise classes, community groups, clubs and support, the Heart Foundation’s Walking Group Project, blood pressure checks, gadgets and equipment, living in your home longer, cooking demonstrations, and nutrition.

The Healthy and Active Ageing Expo will be held at Bellarine Springs, 101 Central Road, Drysdale on Wednesday, March 18, from 11am-1pm.
