Bringing wine to the people, and people to the wine

SHOWCASING the region’s wine industry, the annual Heathcote Wine and Food Festival will return to the showgrounds on 5 and 6 October.
Hosted by the Heathcote Winegrowers Association, the popular festival has been running for more than 16 years.
“We have 40 wine vendors, all Heathcote wine producers,” said Jo Moody from Heathcote Wine Growers Association.
“In addition, there will be 30 food and other vendors.
“Visitors can relax and listen to music provided by Bendigo Blues and Roots or try their hand at Games on the Green lawn games including badminton, bocce and topple tower.”
Patrons can sample and purchase new release wines from the region and learn about the wines that have recently achieved success in international and national awards.
The festival runs from 11am to 6pm on Saturday and 11am to 5pm on Sunday. Buses will run from both Bendigo and Melbourne.
