Agars dominates
Division 1 third placegetter Cherryl Hill; Division 1 winner Sue Agars; Division 1 runner up Josie Ashby; Division 2 winner Rose case; runner up Janine Dunn & third placed Lucy Richards.
A HANDFUL of great scores were recorded at the Blue Lake Golf course last week for the ladies stableford competition.
Dominating the scoreline overall was Division One’s Sue Agars blitzing the competition signing for a massive 45 points off her 23 handicap.
Her outward nine score of 23 points saw three three-pointers whilst in the 22 points on the inward there were two three-pointers, a birdie four pointer on the 12th as well as another four-pointer on the 18th.
Runner up was Josie Ashby off her 31 handicap with a solid score coming in with 35 points in her splits of 16/19 that Included five three-pointers, three from pars, with only one pick-up recorded.
Third after a countback with Ashby was Cherryl Hill also with 35 points off her 24 handicap with splits of 18/17 after scoring on every hole that Included two three-pointers.
The winner of Division Two was Rose Case with a great score of 39 points off her 45 handicap.
Her splits of 17/22 included four three-pointers and a fine four-pointer on the 18th, with only one pick-up recorded.
A countback ensued with Janine Dunn also scoring 39 points off her 39 handicap, the former winning out.
Dunn had four three-pointers in the outward 21 points with one three-pointer and an excellent four point par on the 17th posted in her inward 18 points.
Richards was third also going to a countback with Carol Melhuish both signing for 36 points.
Richards off a 39 handicap scored her 36 points from splits of 19/17 and Included six three-pointers and a couple of pickups along the way.
The pro-shot winner was Ronda Edwards and nearest to the pin 2nd shot winners on the 2nd hole were Sue Agars (1.38) and Lee Anderson (1.53).
Agars scored a birdie on the 12th, Dianne Allen on the 5th.
Chip-in ferrets scored by Case 8th, Gael Ford and Richards 11th, Melhuish 17th.
DECEMBER 6 RESULTS
Another day of excellent scores were recorded by quite a few of the 29 teeing off in the stableford competition.
The winner Liza Kirby played off a 45 handicap and used that to perfection signing for an awesome 42 points.
Splits of 20/22 Included six three-pointers, a fine four-point par on the 13th after scoring on all holes.
Second was Renae McQuade also with a great score of 40 points off her 38 handicap.
Her splits of 19/21 Included seven three-pointers along with a awesome five-point birdie on the 15th.
Third on the podium was stalwart Annette Ford with 38 points off her 26 handicap with splits of 20/18 that Included four three-pointers and a fine four-point birdie on the dog-leg 15th.
Excellent scores were also recorded in the ball rundown by Dianne Perryman 37 c/b Lyn Annand 37 c/b Caroline Davey 37 Rosemary Martland 36 c/b Wendy Burley 36, Kate Hommelhoff 35 c/b Geraldine Scott. Nearest to the pin Jayne Galpin (3.97) and BB9 Kirby.
