THE Castec Rural Pioneers have secured another addition to their men’s roster, announcing the signing of American guard Collin Moore on a one-year contract for the 2026 NBL1 South season.

Moore arrives in Mount Gambier following a collegiate career in the United States, most recently completing his NCAA career at Grand Canyon University during the 2024–25 season.

Across 33 games with the Antelopes, Moore averaged 7.6 points, 3.3 rebounds and 1.8 steals per game, while shooting 50.5 per cent from the field.

Standing at 193cm, Moore brings size, athleticism, and defensive versatility to the Pioneers’ backcourt.

He spent the majority of his collegiate career at Georgia State University, where he developed into a reliable two-way guard.

During the 2022–23 season, Moore averaged 14.2 points, 4.3 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 2.2 steals per game, while shooting 52.8 per cent from the field.

Moore’s resume also includes multiple team and individual honours at conference level, including WAC Tournament championships in 2024 and 2025, and selection to the WAC All-Defensive Team.

His ability to impact games on both ends of the floor adds further depth and balance to the Pioneers’ lineup ahead of the 2026 campaign.

The signing of Moore continues the club’s recruitment focus on versatile guards capable of contributing immediately in the NBL1 South competition.

Men’s head coach Pete Godfrey said that Moore’s addittion will add versatility and defensive ability for 2026 Castec Rural Pioneers roster.

“Collin will add depth and versatility to our 2026 line-up at both ends of the floor,” Godfrey said. “His length and defensive ability were strong factors in the recruitment decision, as was his reputed work rate outside of structured practices. Mount Gambier is Collin’s first ‘pro’ stop after a very solid collegiate career, and I’m looking forward to working with him.”

Moore shared how excited he was to be part of the Castec Rural Pioneers and the Mount Gambier Community.

“I’m excited to join the Mount Gambier Pioneers and be part of what the club is building,” he said. “I’m looking forward to the season ahead and embracing the opportunity to compete and grow with the team.”
