THE Blue Lake Golf Club women were treated to a fun 9-hole stroke round that included plenty of novelties including teeing off with a hockey stick, hitting with a child size left handed club, nearest to rope, short drive and long drive creating lots of camaraderie and plenty of laughs.

The biggest twist was only being allowed to carry a choice of three clubs.

A booklet of five ‘get out of jail’ vouchers were given to each player including kick or throw out of the rough, get someone else to hit your shot, move your ball to the best ball all creating a very fun atmosphere in the perfect summer’s day.

The best off the stick score of 47 on a countback from Rosemary Martland was Sally Houlihan and the best nett winner was Beryl Mahoney 33.5.

Division 2 winner was Lyn Gill 34.5, runner up Lynda Nannings 34.5 and third Bev Pascoe 36.5 on countback from Dianne Allen.
