Dominant finals performance

PORT MacDonnell Bowling Club held its Mixed Pairs earlier this month with 13 nominations.

Marcus Pietersma and Heather Richards had a bye in the first round then had a tough game against Nick Negline and Cheryle Doddridge eventually winning by four shots, then played Bill McGregor and Elaine Pruis to set them up for the final.

Kelvin Butler and Sharon Perryman played Eddie Smith and Del Parsons in the first round, advancing to play against Danny Gaut and Lyn Vanderley only winning by a measure on the last end.

Butler and Perryman then took on Wayne Dowdell and Judy Grosvenor in another very close game managing to win by two shots to earn the right to play in the final against Pietersma and Richards.

In a very tough game for Butler and Perryman, who didn’t get onto the board until the fifth end, the brilliant bowling of both Pietersma and Richards were too much class for the father and daughter combination.
