Masters & Ross combine for win
THE Millicent Bowls Club Men’s Championship Pairs has finally been decided after the final was postponed following the November lead in games contested by 24 players.
The grand final was an 18 end match played at the end of last year with Peter Scanlon and John Buhlmann taking on Wayne Ross and Ben Masters.
The Ross/Masters combination started off by winning the first two ends but then Scanlon and Buhlmann came back winning the next two ends and by the 8th end there was only a one shot difference with the Ross /Masters combination being ahead five shots to four.
By the 16th end, once again there was only one shot between the teams with the Ross/Masters team holding 11 shots to the Scanlon team with 10 shots.
The Ross/Masters team won the next two ends taking the final with a score of 14 shots to 10 shots to give them the title of Men’s Champion Pairs team for 2025/26 Season.
