Parsons & Hudson claim victory
IT was quarter final time in the Mount Gambier Golf Club ladies championships last week, proudly sponsored by SE Pine Sales, with the following ladies advancing to this week’s semi finals.
Semi Final:
A Grade:
Leeanne Hunt v Jess Parsons
Carol Davis v Jennifer Van Rijthoven
B Grade:
Heather Teakle v Helen Heaver
Mardi Goodes v Helen Gregory
C Grade:
Linda Boylan v Sharyn Emetlis
Lyndal McInerney v Mary Kentish
A cohort of 19 ladies contested a stableford round in tandem with the championship quarter finals.
Division 1: Both these ladies are currently playing excellent golf and will be playing against each other in the semi final next week.
Winner:Jess Parsons with 39 points who had seven pars overall and 22 points on the front nine.
Runner Up:Leeanne Hunt with 38 points who had eight pars and two birdies and was very consistent with 19 points on each nine.
Division 2:
Winner: Lyn Hudson with 39 points. Great to see Lyn back and playing a great round scoring 24 points on the front 9 including three pars.
Runner Up: Yvonne Shirley with 31points.

MARCH 21 RESULTS
Twenty-three ladies played a stableford round, sponsored by The Barn, in perfect sunny weather. Three ladies played extremely well all scoring 36 points as the course was set up for the second qualifying round for the men’s championships.
Winner:
Mardi Goodes 36 points. Mardi had 4 pars and a birdie on the 17th.
Runner Up:
Gemma Winterborn 36 points on a countback. Gemma had a good score on the back nine with 20 points.
Third:
Jennifer Van Rijthoven 36 points. Jennifer had a great round scoring seven pars and one birdie on the 9th hole and had a 83 off the stick.
