Seaside bowling event relocated to undercover greens

PORT MacDonnell & District Bowling Club held its Christmas Ham, Cake and Pudding Day at the end of last month with persistent rain forcing th relocation of the traditional event to the undercover greens at the Mount Gambier Bowls Club.

The game was reduced to three games of 10 ends to accommodate the time lost due to the change of venue.

The event’s major sponsor South East Funeral Services was represented by Grant Sims to officiate the presentations.

The winners for the day were Tim Wrightson (sk),Jennie Tilley, Blayne Price and Des Horrigan from Port MacDonnell with the Mount Gambier RSL team of Jenny Bowering(sk), Gary Bowering, Fiona Pearson and Craig Pearson finishing runner up with the Port MacDonnell combination of Lindsay Moyle,(sk) Bill McGregor, Carol Janeway and Kevin Norman finishing third.
