Speedway set to rev into action
PLENTY of local talent will be on show at the Borderline Speedway as it hosts the Formula 500 Victorian Series, along with juniors in the same class and street stocks as part of the support program this Saturday night.
Given the opening event of the season was washed out, this weekend’s meeting looms large for speedway officials.
Ryan Harry, Ash Johnstone Anthony Beare, Brad Turnbull and Jordan Mansell will be part of the Formula 500 roadshow.
The local contingent will be even larger in the street stocks event with Jack Klemm, Ned Skeer, Alex Merrett, Cameron Merrett, Mark Merrett, Jayden Edwards, Brook Winterfield, Jayden Garner, in his first senior competition having graduated from junior sedans, and Thomas Garner.
And the local flavour doesn’t stop there with the classic rods, another of the support classes, seeing Mark Dycer and Dennis Bald.
Gates open at 4pm with racing from 5pm.t
