Tough conditions for Blue Lake golfers

WEDNESDAY STABLEFORD WINNERS: Dianne Allen, Josie Ashby, Ronda Edwards, Lee Anderson & Johanna Gogan

A smaller field of women presented at the Blue Lake Golf Club last Wednesday with a dire weather forecast imminent but other than very gusty wind it was better than expected.

Top scorer for Division One was handicapper Dianne Perryman signing for an awesome 41 points off her 23 handicap.

Included in her outward 20 points there were four three-pointers, turning to the inward nine to then sink a par four pointer on the 10th hole along with two three pointers in her 21 points.

Josie Ashby off 22 was runner up with 37 points after two even nines.

The outward 19 points Included two three pointers, one from a par on the 3rd hole to then add three-pointers from pars on the 10th, 14th and 17th holes in her inward 18 points.

Ronda Edwards followed after a countback with Ashby also signing for 37 points. Edwards played off 20 and had splits of 20/17 and Included six three pointers, five of which were pars.

The winner in Division Two, Lee Anderson, played a very steady game utilising her 40 handicap to perfection especially on the outward nine scoring 22 points unfortunately falling away after posting 16 points on the inward nine.

There were five three pointers and a fine four point par on the 2nd hole on her scorecard.

A regular in the winner’s circle, Johanna Gogan off a 39 handicap took out the runner up voucher with 37 points with splits of 18/19 that Included a four point par on the 2nd hole along with three three-pointers on the inward nine.

Third place was Dianne Allen with 36 points off her 43 handicap.

Her outward nine score of a massive 23 points Included five three pointers but unfortunately her inward 13 points let her down.

The nearest to the pin 2nd shot on the 16th winners were Ronda Edwards (.74cms) and Lee Anderson (4.52).

The pro-shot winner on the 5th was Rose Case (1.30). Jaynee Oberer was the only one to have a chip-in ferret (6th) from 30 metres out. Dianne Allen had BF9 score 23 points.NOVEMBER 22 RESULTS

The 27 women fronting up for the inaugural Saturday monthly medal stroke competition enjoyed better weather conditions.

The course was set up shorter and was very favourable to quite a few of the high handicappers.

The one exception was Jayne Galpin playing off 22.

The winner was Caroline Davey playing off a 45 handicap with 105 off the stick to finish with an awesome nett 60 after splits of 51/54.

There were no pars but she was 8 under on the outward nine and three under on the inward nine.

Galpin scored 85 off the stick to register a fine nett 63.

Her outward 40 strokes saw her 8 under after six pars along with all square on the inward 45 strokes that Included one par.

Third was Fiona Pulford also with a great score of 98/33/65.

Her outward nine 45 strokes Included four pars with a par in her inward 53 strokes.

There were also excellent scores in the ball rundown, Bev Pascoe nett 66 c/b Geraldine Scott 66, Lee Anderson nett 67 c/b Carol Downing 67, Annette Ford nett 70 c/b Lyn Annand 70.

Nearest to the pin was Karen Panagopoulos (6.63), long drive Mandy Bartholomew, least putts Bev.
