Triples & men’s singles champions crowned

THE Mount Gambier RSL & District Bowling Club contested the Men’s Singles Championship and the Ladies Triples Championship at the weekend.

The Men’s Singles Championship had 30 members fighting for the crown of club champion.

Three games were played on the Saturday to have the four players left to play the semi finals on the Sunday.

Graham Ellis played Neil Tobin in the 1st semi with Graham defeating Neil 21 to 14 and in the 2nd semi Garry Fox defeated Gary Feast 21 to 17.

This had two members meet who have never won the Singles title before and the 2026 Men’s Singles Championship went to Graham Ellis defeating Garry Fox 25 to 7 shots.

The Ladies Triples Championship was contested between seven teams, with the team of Jo Sykes, Tru Franklin and Kym Franklin defeating Nancye Wilson, Sandi Elliott and Joy Bilney 18 shots to 11.
