THE season is now in full swing and the atmosphere at the Torquay Bowls Club is like nowhere else on the Surf Coast. Get a group of friends together and come down for a casual drink, a delicious meal or the try your luck at the MEGA meat raffle on a Friday night. Whatever you choose, make sure you tell your friends “I’ll meet you at the bowler!”

Now let’s see how the sides have been going after round 5.

SATURDAY PENNANT
Division 1 had a great 13 shot win away to Bell Post Hill with Daryl Kitchin at his dominant best.
Division 3 fell short at home to Great Ocean Road rivals Anglesea by 10 shot.
Division 4 travelled to Drysdale and lost by 28 shots to a very talented team.
Division 6 had a thrilling one shot win at home to Portarlington with Lindsay Harringtons rink leading the way with a 20 shot rink win.
Division 8 had a tricky away trip to the carpet of St. Leonards and lost by 34 shots.
Division 9 were at home to Bareena and lost in a tight one, going down by 5 shots.

MIDWEEK PENNANT
Division 1 went down away to Queenscliff by 39 shots
Division 2 won by one shot at home against Bannockburn in an exciting match.
Division 5 away to Leopold snuck passed for a 5 shot victory.
Division 6 got the better of Belmont at home, winning by 14 shots
