January 24, 2019 BY

THE busy Christmas period may be behind us, but Summer is still in the air at Torquay Bowls Club.

Great meals, icy cold beer and terrific entertainment, make the bowls club your next destination with friends and family.

Now let’s see how the sides went in round 12 after the holiday break.

Saturday Pennant
Division 1 had a shock 28 shot loss at home to Highton, with Alan Sampson’s rink collecting 2 points.

Division 3 triumphed away to Leopold with a 20 shot win. Gary Wakefield’s rink had an impressive 11 shot rink win.

Division 4 fell short to a strong Lara side by 7 shots.

Division 6 travelled to Lara and lost by 45 shots in tough conditions.

Division 8 lost at home to Drysdale by 42 shots. Division 9 had the bye this week.

Midweek Pennant
Extreme heat cancelled Midweek Pennant this week with Total Fire Ban making it unsafe for travel.
